I didn't believe the results last night. Since they were based on exit-polls, I couldn't believe them, expecting to find this morning that they were lies.
I really did cry this morning. And - God - did it feel GOOD!!!!
Wooooooo Hoo! We made it! We did it! America has begun to reach its true promise.
I am still breaking out in spontaneous tears. I'm watching the coverage on CNN of people celebrating around the nation. And the waterworks started up again.
I don't know how I'm going to hold it together this afternoon when I have to meet with my students.
Maybe I won't...after all, I am human and this is a historic moment of monumental proportions. Something that I never thought I would see in my lifetime. A moment I will always remember.
